I've had my 3G 30 GB ipod for about a week now, I love it, but randomly tonight, my IPOD will not sync up with Itunes. It used to work flawlessly, but now it does not. I am using a USB2 port. When I plug my IPOD in it will open up Itunes, and then it will say "ipod is updating do not disconnect" or whatever, but it just sits there forever, and does nothing. Then after a while the program closes, I beleive XP closes it because it stops responding. My IPOD itself still works fine. I have not changed anything and it was working earlier this afternoon. I have Itunes 4.1.1.54. I've restarted my computer countless times, tried other USB ports, tried opening Itunes then plugging my IPOD in, etc... Any advice? I dont know what else to do.
