Cloning itunes from desktop to laptop
Is it possible to keep an exact copy of files/itunes database/mp3/AAC/ etc. between two computers? I would like to keep my laptop exactly synced with my desktop so when I travel with my IPOD, I can synch the POD without having to worry about different settings, file locations causing conflicts, can't find the file messages, etc. Is it as easy as copying all the appropriate files to my laptop and then keeping those files synched over my home network between the 2 computers? I have consolidated my library to be in the Itunes folder on the desktop and I have installed itunes on the laptop, but have not added any music to it yet. The laptop files will be on a D: drive NOT under "My Music" whereas the files on the desktop are in the traditional location under documents/my music/itunes on the C: drive.
I considered importing all of the music to the laptop over my network from the desktop by consolidating the library on the laptop, but then can I keep the two machines synchronized, or are there database differences that will exist between the machines that will mess things up on the POD or in itunes?
