Duplicate files after editing ID3 info
I had a few albums loaded on my pod. I edited the ID3 info for some of them (changed the genre.)
Browsing the music folder on my pod today, I noticed 2 copies of some of the songs. One of the sets had a 0 after it.
I'm thinking that iTunes didn't delete the old copies when it updated, but it's taking up valuable space.
I also don't know if the set with the 0 in the filenames is the one the pod is using, or if it's the set with the normal names.
Can anyone help me sort this out?
Much appreciated.

When you first started using iTunes, did you start with a freshly Restored iPod? If not, I would suggest that you do that.
The iPod's database could have orphaned records in it, or the iPod could have files on it that the database has no record of.
Either way, whenever switching uploading apps, it's a good idea to start fresh.

I installed iTunes and started ripping before my pod arrived.
I made the ID3 changes a few days after I had loaded it.
