Power User asks N00B question:

I'd like to ask a silly question, if y'all don't mind.
I do have a scanner, but I'm lazy. Is there a large, comprehensive Album Art database that I can search to manually fill in my Album Art for imported tracks?
Thanks.

Perhaps my post was more N00B-ish than I thought.

In the typical form of a N00B question, I figured it out on my own in a few minutes. It turns out Amazon.com has a fairly large selection. "Click Here for Larger Photo" works well (No 10% off watermarks ;) ), and you can drag from IE to iTunes directly.

Aha - I wasn't aware that drag-and-drop from IE to iTunes was possible. That's good work - for a newbie ;)

Yeah, thats what i've been doing... For a while i was using www.cdcovers.cc which has a high quality/high resolution library thats much larger than amazon... the problem is that it takes much longer...

Now i only use cdcovers.cc for covers i cant find on amazon :)

Hey FnArfy, I see my iPod pics still have a home on your web page. Thanks! :D

Just as a bit of a "user beware" warning on your post. I went to the cdcovers.cc site and it immediately prompted me to install some friendly and helpful *sarcasm in loads* Gator software. Site seems ok but for all those potential users out there watch for the ad-ware.

Just a tip.

60 gigs huh? Well I hope my two pics help! ;)
All joking aside not a bad hosting plan you got going there.

Mozilla user. Down with MS ad all their shoddy insecure products!! But yes if you are an IE user be sure to veto the install of anything Gator or pretty much any of the prompts you might get on the site.

Or as FnArFy has done use an alternate browser. Mozilla or my favorite alt. browser - Opera.

I get most of mine off of amazon.com or the iTMS (Take Screenshot).

# 12 Re: Power User asks N00B question:
Gotta second the www.allmusic.com suggestion. I believe it's better than amazon because 1) there is a larger selection and 2) it includes album tag info (i.e. genre, label, song info etc).

Oh, and it's not a commercial site (except for adverts).

Extremely useful for vinyl!

I use towerrecords.com

They have an amazing database, but the images aren't the best.

Yes; I did read the title of the thread - and even the messages - before posting! I was hoping you'd pick up on the ironic, nudge-nudge, wink-wink tone of my own message. Never mind... Brit thing.
