Does anyone know whether it is possible to update the play count from more than one PC?

I believe that if you load a mp3 onto your ipod and then listen to it a few times through iTunes and a few times through the iPod it will update the play count to be the total next time you sync. But is it possible to have the exact same mp3 on 2 PCs and then when you sync with both libraries it will update the playcount from both machines and the iPod? I am guessing not.

This is because I have a work PC with all the tunes from my iPod on it and a home PC with all my tunes from the iPod plus a few more and would like a total play count some how. Does anyone know what the best way to manage this situation would be anyway? (Syncing 2 PC's and 1 iPod)
