Two iPods?

When I connect my iPod, iTunes shows two iPods in the source list. I only own one, and both have the same name. If I eject one, both dissapear. Any suggestions on how I can correct this?

I have the exact same problem. Except the pictures are different. One is the old ipods and one is the new ones. I used to have an old one but never connected it since i got itunes. Not for over a month. Anybody?

I also have this issue. I get 2 ipod icons, one for the old gen and one for the new gen.
By clicking the old gen icon I get tmy songs, but clicking on the other one doesn't do anything.
Any help will be welcomed.
Thanks.

I had the same problem. I remembered ephPod wrote the name of the main playlist twice in the database so I thought maybe that was it (although at this point, I haven't run ephPod since using iTunes). I knew vPod didn't do that, so I ran it, and to force it to re-write the database, I deleted a song, and synced. That fixed it for me.
