Turning off Autosync
I have just discovered that iTunes wants to autosync my 3G iPod, every time it either starts up, or I mount the iPod if iTunes happens to be oipen. How do I turn off AUTOSYNC? It's screwing up the contents of my iPod, after setting the entire thing up using Anapod. I never use autosync in any application for the iPod, because being the control freak I am, I do everything manually. There must be a way, but as yet it remains elusive in iTunes. Otherwise iTunes seems to be all it's cracked up to be - by Apple of course.

When the ipod is connected look for the ipod preference button (on a mac this is the left most button on the bottom right of the itunes window) From here you can make the selections for autosync, manual update, and playlist syncing.
Good luck.

My pleasure. I'm avoiding my public health presentation to help out. Just the perfect excuse I must say! I hope to try to use my itunes knowledge from mac to help out the users of the new windows version as best I can.
Happy podding!

I've been trying to do the same thing. I think that I want Apple to succeed with this so much...
I immediately sent download links to my windows friends too.
The browse icon [big eye on top right] is one a lot of new users miss too. It also works in the store!
