All Music garbled and kinda echoing, any solutions?
Well i Downloaded iTunes and the new iPod Software, the only problem is all the music i try to play through iTunes is distorted and in ever other program i use its just fine. So I know that the problem is within iTunes. Anyone know what is causing this and how to fix it?

I'm having the same issue. I've had this issue with QuickTime in the past as well, but that was on an old computer with a slower processor -- there's no way my present system should be having problems.
Anyone have any ideas about this?

It's doing the same for me!
Also whenever I try the iTunes music store it says there is a music store error because there is not enough memory.

Updated my sound card/mobo drivers and still no luck. Are you two using an nVidia nForce mobo with built in sound card by chance?

SOLVED!!! (at least for my system)
The culprit for me was Total Recorder. TR inserted itself as the "Default Playback Device". I simply reset this to be my Soundcaard:
ControlPanel > Sound&Audio > Audio > SoundPlayBack > DefaultDevice
Select your SOUNDCARD, not TotalRecorder!!
This means that TR cannot record iTune Radio streams (rutt rohhh ...I hope MMJB doesn't catch wind of this... ;))
Good Luck!!

Thank you so much, that was the problem, now I am very happy with iTunes!

Well heck, I'm still having this problem, and there's only ONE thing in the dropdown for "Default Device" on my system: My sound card.
Any other suggestions?

I would definitely make sure you have all your audio drivers updated and see what's running in the background.

Here's how I fixed it:
Opened up Quicktime Player
Went Edit > Preferences > Quicktime Preferences
Used the topmost Drop-down to navigate to Sound Out
Changed "DirectSound" to "waveOut"
Works now. Jeebus tapdancing crikey.
As an afterthought, bear in mind that Apple usually doesn't have to worry about this many variables. They make the hardware and operating system that iTunes normally runs on. Now that it's on Windows, there's a LOT of different configurations and combinations of settings and drivers and etc to worry about.
As an afterthought to that afterthought... Windows software programmers do okay with that kind of variety every day. ;)

I have Total Recorder on my computer also, so that is probably my problem. I'll try and fix it when I go home.

Jesus, I think you guys are right. I have TR and I bet that's the problem. I'll try it tonight.

I've noticed, even with TR, you can simply do the Quicktime fix noted above by c.c.r. (vs the SoundDevice setup...)
TR will record iTunes music and streams just fine. Latest version of TR does not recognize iTunes Title Changes so it cannot auto-create the very convenient Artist-Title.mp3 filenames.
Maybe a patch from TR will clear this up...all the other major players are supported.
<<TR is a great way to create MP3's from AAC's.>>
