Installation problems
I'm attempting to install iTunes on a Windows 2000 machine (up to date with all security updates and service packs) and the installation seems to just HANG during the QuickTime install. It's also pinning my CPU at 100%.
Anyone have any idea what's going on here and how to correct it?

Mine hung there as well, but it eventually went through. You could wait a while or try it w/o the Quicktime support.

Hi -
Is anyone else having this problem installing iTunes on Windows 2000?
Mine hangs at Quicktime 6.4. I tried killing just that process and the install completes, but when I try running iTunes, I get an error message stating that I need QT 6.4.
I tried uninstalling a previous version of QT, then I downloaded just the QT 6.4 install from the apple site and installing that, but that hangs also...
Very frustrating!
Thanks for any input.

hey
mine hung there also, what i did was to click start>shutdown and then that seemed to jerk the installation back to life, and it all went thru as normal, albeit skipping the quicktime bit. i already had quicktime 6.4 installed, so i dont think this caused any probs. i restarted after this (the computer did not actually shutdown) and then itunes worked fine. im running win 2k. hope this helps.
