Oh My God..ipod Dropped Off Iskin..why?

I was walking outside with my ipod in its case clipped to my belt with the belt clip when.....it fell on the floor and CRASH, I picked it up and found a hair line crack on the plastic and it seems to be running slower? The belt clip slipped off my belt, I am a big fan of Lajo cases, but I dont like the belt clips and this has resulted in cracking my ipod:(
Has this happened to anyone else, Lajo to make the clip better I think it could be a bit longer and maybe rubberised inside, just an idea.

Now what do i do how could I filll the crack in ? I feel suicidal, what can I do!!!

Ouch!

I dropped my iPod last night from about 3ft onto a hardwood floor. Actually I yanked it off a counter top acidentally by the earbud cord. It fell the full distance with a THUD.

My heart stopped. I quickly picked it up. It showed PLAYING, but there was no sound. Rutt Rohh!! Ahhh... the earbud cable had been pulled slightly out of its socket. I pushed it back in and *beautiful* music began to play!

iPod seems to be functioning just fine! (whew!!). I slipped off the iSkin and can see no visible damage or dents.

I think iSkin protected the iPod. I am quite confident that a fall from this height without an iSKin would have caused some sort of damage!

Maybe I should wear 2 or 3 iSkins at once!! :D

ipodking - GOOD LUCK with yours!!

Thanks, the iskin is great its just the belt clip, which I think has been made poorly for some reason! This has resulted in cracking my ipod and it is not fuctioning properly? It skips menus, runs 10x slower etc. I dont know what TO DO!!!!

Everyday you have to take a look at your plastic clip to be on the safe side. In China we are working like crazy to produce our own design for casual wear and one for sports. These will be coming out soon but in the meantime everyday you should look at your clip and check the stub on the back of your eXo to make sure it is screwed on tight.

No Lajo it didn't fall of there it slipped off, the surface area of the clip isn't big enough, it needs to be longer and I think it would be better if the inside should be rubberised,so it clings easier and the hook on the end needs to be a bit longer, then and only then it would be perfect!

How do the new clips differ?

The clip will be made by us so that will give me a level of comfort on the strenght, the raw plastic material will be bought by us, the length of the part that hooks to your belt is the same length as the clip that come with the iPod case that you get when you buy your iPod (I hope one day it is one of my cases). I will try to post a picture of it here tomorrow.

OK, then I will be able to value how good the iskins really are, although i dont like the apple casde the clip is excellent, which I think is a bit ironic when compared to your case!?

Personally I would never, EVER recommend clipping any electronic equipment to a belt/trousers; it's just asking for trouble!

You're more than likely to have pockets - use them. The ipod is MUCH less likely to fall out of pockets (especially if you're wearing jeans) and at the end of the day it's no hassle really to take it in and out. Especially when we're talking ?300+ of equipment here. I can't imagine why anyone would be stupid enough to put it in such a vunerable position.

yeah, i jsut take off the the metal stub from my iSkin and leave the clip @ home, ive got enough pockets, so i just slip my iSkined iPod into its MacClear case and its good to go in my pocket, and everytime i wanna switch a song, jsut unzip and press a button and everything is good with the world. This way i kno my iPod is with my @ all times, i kno its within reach @ all times and it wont fall b/c im not gonna b hangin upside down now am i?

I am really surprise how the zip case has caught on, I thought that it would be use for cables and not for eXo'd iPods. It shows how important it is to get customer feedback.

Thanks for pointing this out! I got two cases as well as two zip cases. I didn't even think about using my extra one for my accesories!

Last :)

hmm in my case i used it for cables and such since when i tried to but my 40gig in it, it had problem closing the zipper, i did manage to zzip it, but it was horribly tight, so i decided just to leave it for cables..

I feel your pain, theipodking. My ipod met my interlocked driveway on Halloween. Oh, the pain.

OK, at this point the word "pocket" is starting to sound hilarious and not a real word at all. Go ahead, say it out loud like 20 times. It's now a made-up word, like "egg" or "Microsoft." ;)
HEY! Watch your language :)

I feel for ya King. The Belt clip is the work of the devil, sorry Lajo its just an evil thing.

Anyway the Iskin makes up for it. I have had my Ipod drop about 6 or 7 times from my pocket. The Iskin has protected each time but I must say I have come close to your situation and I think its not good that the nob on the back of the iskin unscrews itself.

I know theres nothing that can fix your problem unless you bought the Ipod from best buy or compusa but at least its working.
