anyone got Speck skin?
I got mine today and have noticed that where the flap at the bottom goes round to meet the bottom edge it doesn't meet flush and leaves a gap. I have a 20 gig 3G ipod.
This happen to anyone else? Maybe over time it might fit a bit better?

I've got a 30gb and got the 3 pack of skins... I also have the same problem with the gap thing, plus since my ipod has larger dimensions whats worse is the holes for the buttons and touch pad don't align properly becase the skin is stretched.
I would have thought that the skin would fit better on the slimmer ipods (10 and 20 gig).
These will be going up on the auction block soon. :(

hmmmm
the holes line up no problems, its just the gap at the back, I took the dock connector cover thing (the little white plastic strip) off to see if it was that but it seems to be the same.
Its definitely better than the last case I had, just irritating that its not totally snug.

The holes not lining up properly on my 30 gb was really irritating to me, don't know if anyone else has this problem too with the larger ipods.
Lajo's on the right track with having 2 sizes to accomodate the two ipod chassis', the rubber material will only strech so much, i'm going with an xskin as soon as they're available I think.

Phil:
I have the same problem as you with my 30GB iPod... there is a slight gap in coverage. Just FYI with the case you can leave the white dock connector cover off your iPod, on the bottom of your iPod skin there is a ridge that fits into the connector opening, protecting it.
Cheers!

I have used both the Speck case and the exo iSkin on my 30GB iPod. There's also a 10GB 2G iPod in our family, so I can speak to the fit for both sizes.
The Speck case is a much better fit for the 30GB model. Mine slides in pretty easily, and it's not too hard to remove it either. The material is stiffer than the exo iSkin, but I wouldn't call this either positive or negative; just different. Yes, there is a slight gap at the back, about an eighth of an inch. is this a problem? In my experience, no. There's no question of the iPod ever slipping out of the thing, and maybe I'm just a careful guy, but I've never seen grit or dirt caught inside the case.
You do have to make some adjustments to the alignment of the holes, but I find you have to do the same with the exo case. The overall dimensions of the iPod, using either case, seem to be essentially the same, but I have to say that for whatever reason (probably psychological) the exo case gives the impression of being slimmer. It must be because of its very pliable silicone.
Since the Speck case comes in only one size, it's a different story when using it on the 20GB iPod. There's a noticeable bit of wiggle room...but I think it's unlikely that the iPod would ever accidentally slip out, even with the bit of gap that still exists. (There's also a better chance of grit getting inside the case, but I would think the drawback of the roominess would actually prevent anything from rubbing up against the iPod very much--I don't have any personal experience with this.)
As cgeiger mentioned, it's not necessary to use the dock connector cover with the Speck case; it has its own little ridged insert to protect it. Also, in case anyone was wondering, the exo iShades work in the Speck case, too.
As a 30GB owner, I was a happy Speck user up until I took advantage of Lajo's 2-for-1 offer. The Speck case still has features that even exo users envy: the hinged opening, and the opening that doesn't impede the hold button. And when I bought it, I split the three-pack with two friends, so it was cheaper even than the half-price exo (granted with no free belt clip, iShade, and Zip case!). It's a worthwhile case.
But my advice for a 20GB iPod owner would be to go with the exo iSkin. It comes in a size designed for your unit, and it's a very fine product.
