Thanks,

I don't have one but have touched one. I definatly think that it woudl be a great case for skiing. It holds the ipod in place securly and it also is really like armor (armour if you live in the UK or whatever). Unfortunatly though, if you drop your ipod with Ipod armor on, the HD could still get messed up. If you land on it though, I do not think that you would have to worry. I would put some reflective tape that is another color except white or like a light color incase you dropped it tho.

I've got a Mathias Armour in my stable of iPod cases

Initially I loathed the fact that the face was fully covered and I had to open the lid to access the iPod's controls or even view the display.
I like this feature now, but not all the time; the iPod Armour is a case for very specific occasions.
When flying/travelling - means that I don't have to worry about sharp objects in my oversized bag piercing/scratching the screen or control. Before getting this case I used to always have to pack my bag carefully and also include the padded dividers. Now I just set a playlist and throw the iPod in the bag.
When engaging in outdoorsy type activities - I'm a clumsy person by nature and after a few lessons (in how easy electronics are to break) I realised the value of 'protection' for one's most favourite (and expensive) possessions.
I've got cases to protect cases , mate! ;-)
You will need to use the remote since one cannot access the screen without opening the lid. To make this action easier just loosen the screws on the plastic bit by a tiny amount.

I posted a 'break-in' procedure , in the above thread , for the Armour and it seemed to make it easier to open/close the case and also insert/remove the iPod.
