Novice iPod Questions

I'm going to ordering my 20GB iPod in a few days, and I'm just trying to plan a few things ahead of time. I hear that the casing is rather scratch-prone, so I'm looking into potential cases. This is a dumb question, but if I stop using the dock b/c of the iSkin... does this at all inhibit any functionality other than Line Out? Can I charge & sync as per usual using just the cable instead of the dock?

It's a bit early, so I can't immediately recall what else I was going to ask. As soon as I do, I'll post add'l questions. I appreciate any help and advice offered.

Add'l questions:

-How difficult is it to apply the iShade? Will it make the screen seem rather fuzzy? I had an issue like that w/ my Handspring Visor's screen protector.

-I recall having seen a link showing pics of every color of iSkin. But now I can't remember where I saw it. Anyone?

1)
a) You can use the dock, if you peel back the iSkin.
b) If you do stop using the dock, nothing other than the lost line out will be different. The dock is basically just a line-out + cable-turner ;-) So yes, you can charge and sync with just the cable.

2)
a) The iShade is pretty easy to put on. All you need to do is center it, and make sure the eXo's edges hold the lip of the iShade down. This is a thick, relatively hard piece of plastic, compared to what you would have used on the Visor. This is NOT a film.
b) The screen does not look fuzzy at all. You're used to that because your Visor screen protector was textured (for writing on). The iShade has no such properties, and is crystal clear. (I've even used a couple of the colored ones, most of which are surprisingly easy to see through).

Hope this helps.

Yudha - the screen is easy to apply and no it does'nt make it fuzzy at all. Initially there may be some 'watermarks' where it clings to the screen but these disappear after a day or so.
I suggest taking a look at www.iskinworld.uk for the best colour pictures. Their photo's are the best I have come across for the skins.

This may seem obvious... if so, I apologize.

Does the iShade mount on the iPod screen? That is, when I remove the iSkin, will the iShade still be attached? Does this make the unit look a bit 'off' with a protruding iShade?

Yudha you may be under the impression that the iShade really really sticks to the screen but it does not. It stays in place by means of a static cling and you would not want to only have the iShade without the iSkin. The two together look completely natural and are very easy to put on and take off.
Nothing in life is obvious Yudha - so ask away.

Is there any place I can look for an eXo FAQ? It seems like there seem to be a lot of subtle nuances to the eXo (i.e. Dust & Oil Evasion via washing... etc.) To be honest, I'm a little intimidated at this point. Anyone?
