With my iPod in my case (flipstand), it won't fit into the supplied dock. But, the case comes with its own dock...which is what I use.I know that someone has successfully modded the dock to work with a flipstand case, but with the 2.1 firmware I can't make use of the line out...so I'm not in a hurry to investigate doing it myself.

i wish i can use it (as easly as i thought)w/ 4pin firewire... there's too much plugging and unplugging to do for transfer and recharging w/ 1 cable -_-!

Another one of these threads ... Can't you guys use search? FFS.But, I bought a dock because I wanted/needed the line-out for hooking it up to my new stereo so I had a perfect sound coming from the speakers.

The 20GB clickwheel doesn't come with a dock, so I actually spend more $ to purposely get one. And I'm pleased with it, cause it keeps the ipod upright (I connect to the stereo) and the cables neat, instead of plugging them top and bottom. I think Speck Products has the skin with an opening in the bottom for convenience when using a dock. I don't use a skin, currently waiting for iSee to be shipped to my country. For the moment I use Pod Shield to protect the screen and metal face.

They did. Lajo's exofbflp it's a flip bottom iskin.
However, they aren't out for the 40g 4g because someone can't get their #### together.

Yeah, I'd buy an exo dock access skin if they offered a clear one for the 4G 40Gb. I could use something that allowed me to plug in the RemoteRemote 2 or iTalk on the top WHILE it is in the case.The Showcase is really nice but it's not accessory friendly.

You can get an exofbflp and it'll fit right into the dock. It's made by lajo.
