Audiobooks "remember" where you left off...

I like how the audiobooks "remember" where you left off, but what exactly tells the iPod and iTunes that you left off at that point?

If I wanted to make another long mp3 (or other audio file) behave the same way, can I? Is it simply the fact that audiobooks are of the "Audiobooks" genre that tells the iPod and iTunes to remember the last played point?

Thanks.

Well, if you pause in the middle of a song and let the iPod fall asleep it will still be where you left off when you wake it up.

Aha! JJo!

You can find the answer to this in my Audible / iPod user's guide that I just posted in the General Forum.
