# 1 Re: To update or not to update...that is the question...
Why would you loose everything if you upgrade?
# 2 Re: To update or not to update...that is the question...

# 3 Re: To update or not to update...that is the question...
yes yes, you wont lose anything... and if.... for some strange reason... youre songs are on your computer
the features of v2.1 are worth it

####. Yes you can download them . I had the problem of getting itunes and updater on the pc but you can just click on the option when it start to download the the program but hangs for afew minutes. I did it with the 2.1 update and Itunes plus the update just works on the firmware os not the music at all so it is safe to update but but I will still use ephpod for syncing.

It will say if the program will not load or the site does not direct you to the program just click download here. you will get a window about it may have spyware or other damaging software that will harm your computer but it is okay to save and will not harm anything.

MC9 asks for a format before you can use it with MC9, which is okay if all your MP3s from the iPOD are on your computer. But if not then your pretty much screwed. Or you have to rip all your albums again.
So swsmith50 might have thought iTUNES needed to do the same thing and didn't have the necessary space on his computer.
BTW swsmith50, upgrade from ME to XP/2000 or even 98 or NT because ME is Microsofts worst operating system EVER! Just remember to upgrade drivers, or XP will be unstable.

Ok, I downloaded it, then when I tried to run it it says, this program will only run on windows 2000 and xp
# 12 Re: To update or not to update...that is the question...
Go get 2000 or xp.
ME is the worst piece of #### ever created. I had it on my computer ~6 months, horrible. Had to format 4 times.
Now I have XP and this install is over one year old.
And it's _very_ stable.
