I want to connect an adapter from the back of the headunit of the standard Premium 6 Monsoon radio (see photo below) to an auxiliary input that will ultimately connect to an Ipod using the following sequence:

Apple Ipod => (Ipod dock connector wire) => Belkin Autokit => (3.5mm stereo to RCA split) => ground loop isolator => (RCA to head unit converter) => head unit

PIE, Blitzsafe, Soundgate and Dension all produce some type of adapter for VW's. I don't want to use the Dension because it has a wire going to the docking port of the Ipod on the bottom and a second wire that goes in the earphone port on the top, which I don't think looks as clean as just the docking port wire on the bottom.

Does anyone know if the PIE, Blitzsafe, or Soundgate adapters are compatible with the Premium 6 Monsoon? Does anyone have a photo of the back of the radio that I could send to those three companies to confirm whether the CD changer port is a 8 pin or 12 pin connection? Has anyone hardwired an Ipod to the standard Premium 6 Monsoon?
