This setup is for an '02 Lancer.
I have reached iPod nirvana in finally finding an auto setup worthy of the iPod.
I have an aiwa (i'm at work and can't think of the product number) deck with an aux in 1/8" jack in the front (unfortunately no rear capabilities). I at first tried it with a male/male 1/8" cord from the charger to the stereo but I was getting (what I didn't know at the time was) Ground Loop Noise. I almost threw it out of the window but decided to read about it and sure enough the lounge had some info. I went to RadioShack and got a Ground Loop Isolator (15.99) and 2 RCA --> 1/8" Y- cables (6 and change) andput the GLI behind the console and made it so just the two 1/8" had enough slack to connect. My iPod is temporarily in a one size too small jam jacket until i decide on my iSkin exo color of choice. I currently rest the iPod in the little latched compartment below the door of the center console (big enough for a cell phone, earphones, but perfect for the iPod) the belkin cord runs along site the senter console eventually i'm gonna drill a hole and keep it permanently hidden. I'll get pictures if anyone is in the same boat I am and want to see it. The only visible wires are from the front of the stereo to the bottom of the stereo/heating cluster it looks relatively clean and the cord is just big enough to give enough slack to the stereo. So there you have it, mail me if you NEED pictures or just wait for an update.
