Viewing Ipodlounge in Netscape vs IE

Win XP...Netscape 7.1 (compact version) and IE 6.

I loooove Netscape, but man it hangs like lynch mob when trying to browse Ipodlounge, particularly the forums. I hate IE but it seems like the only way to properly view the site. Anyone else experiencing this?

p.s. no matter what I do, I can't seem to make a pic appear in a post...it always comes out as a link. The IMG buttons don't work for me, nor do the standard img html tags. Help!

Try Mozilla Firebird , its the best IE alternative and shows Ipodlounge with no problems.

I use NS7 with no problems (W98) - also Opera 7 (W98) - they both work fine. When you say Lite Version is that with out the Java plug-in? Could that be your problem?

Not the same on my iBook - posts missing on the index pages, images missing - most frustrating.

Thanks for the replies.
I got Java. Something's just plain wrong with 7.1.
I do use Firebird occasionally, but it doesn't let me open new windows with my middle mouse button, so I use it sparingly.

You dont wanna open new windows in firebird , you open new tabs :)

ahh, but after 6 years of Netscape, I've gotten very used to opening every page in a new window, then, (and this is the key) without having to look, closing a window by flicking my cursor to the upper right corner and clicking the x. Tabs are swell, but closing them requires me to actually look where I'm clicking.

Luckily, there's a tweak to make links open in a new window...

about:config

browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick

change to false
