acc or mp3?

acc has better sound quality, but it takes up more space than mp3s, right?

Stay tuned, I have a big informative post on the topic coming.

But to answer your question, no it isn't bigger than an equivalent MP3, but may sound better.

Sounds the same or better but is a more compressed file therefore more songs for you pod

No no, I don't think you understand. At the same bitrate, they are pretty much the same size, but subjectively better quality. They are not more compressed, and do not take up less space with the same bitrate.

err, how come this ( http://www.n-gage.com/R1/en/gamedeck/gamedeck_features_music.html) says that you can store 1 hour of mp3 songs OR, two hours of acc ones?

cause to my ears a 128k aac sounds like a 192k mp3, i repeat to my ears, so obviously a 192k mp3 is way bigger than a 128k aac, hence the size difference.

I encode in only AAC because they sound much better MP3 at the same bit-rate. The file sizes are about the same with the same bit-rate.
