And I thought iTunes was great...
Then I go and buy a 10 gig iPod and bam! - I'm hooked on music again.
I was an mp3 junky back in the days of napster(the original) and morpheus. Then our bandwith at work went from a T1 to ADSL. With 6 people on the web and 2 web servers, the bandwidth was too narrow for us to use file-sharing software anymore.
I had dialup at home, so getting music at home wasn't even an option there.
I went several months without getting any new music and became tired of the cds I already owned. So I basically stopped listening to music.
Then, I recently got DSL at home and I download iTunes - big mistake. That of course lead to my purchase of a 10 gig iPod and now I'm hooked again. Now I find myself dusting off the several hundred CDs I own and ripping those to my iPod.
My name is Evil Inside and I'm an addict.

Yeah, I still can't decide if my iPod was gift or a curse. Either way, I love it!

I see it as a wallet.
I mean it?s as small as a wallet.
I put it in my pocket.
It has the ability to hold information.
I bring it with me everywhere.
And I can put my money into it.
But unlike any other wallet I have ever had I can't get the money back out. ;)
Financial curse? Yes.
But it is one of my guilty pleasures.

I just got a 10 gig too, what software are you using to rip your cd's. I find I am having trouble with sound quality on my ipod, lots of pops and crackles during the songs.
