10gig 2ndGen iPod in the UK for sale
Windows (but can be converted to mac, as this is what it was originally)
Under a year old (only a few months old as i had it replaced a little while back) so still under warranty
All accessories included
In original packaging
I will also include a 3-port PCI firewire card if it is needed
In very good condition (minor scratches on back, one tiny scratch on screen, but does not obscure view in anyway)
I would like to sell it for ?200, or the nearest offer
Buyer to pay for shipping within the UK (would be too expensive to send it outside the UK)
Shipping will be via Royal Mail Special Delivery, which is a next day service, which will cost around ?10, and item will be shipped once payment is cleared.
I'm afraid I don't accept paypal, as I have been ripped off with it before, so it's a cheque or cash (if sending cash please send it special delivery, so you and I both have proof of the transaction)

My nephew in Winchester wants a 'Pod, though I don't think he'd want to pay that much (His bro and sis bought brand new refurbs for ?160 a few weeks ago, so he'll doubtless think that ?200 for a second hand 'Pod, with not much warranty, is way too much. I've e-mailed your ad to him (he doesn't 'lounge') so expect an insultingly low offer......

I bought a refurb 5 GB iPod for my wife in about August for ?125 incl VAT and shipping, shrink wrapped in its packaging and clearly brand spanking new. My nephew and niece then bought 10 GB iPods for ?160 each, again including VAT and shipping.
This does make your iPod look pretty expensive, I'm afraid, and I suspect that you'll get offers around ?150 if you're lucky, and ?125 if you're not.
Where are you, roughly?

I wouldn't. Not everyone knows the 'value' of an iPod, and some of those who do know may not want to wait for stocks of Gen 3s or for the next round of UK refurbs, or may not want to go to the trouble of ordering a US refurb.
Your iPod does represent an opportunity for a UK podder to get an iPod IMMEDIATELY, and locally, even if that does mean paying 'a little over the odds'. Perhaps eBay would be a good way to go? Or advertising on your Uni 'boards'?
You may also get some kind of offer from my nephew shortly.
I'm sorry that you're so cash-strapped. Why on earth do we think it's a sensible idea to subject today's students to quite such penury?
