Stopping a track?

OK this is possibly the most stupid question ever asked. Ever.

But I'll ask it anyway, :p

How do you stop a track on the new iPods? I can pause it, I can start a new track, I can switch it off to stop it playing. But how can you stop it playing completely while leaving it on? Is this just me? My heads a bit fuzzy this morning ;)

you never really stop the track. you just pause it. this way the ipod remembers where it stopped and continues from there.
