Have you done a search on the new and old forums (http://www.xsorbit1.com/users/dennx/index.cgi)? I know there are posts on this, so searching should get you the information you need. Off the top of my head, I think you need at least Win 98SE. Also, posting in the right area will get your post read by the right people. There is a Windows iPod problems (http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=21) forum for posts like these. But even posting in the right place isn't likely to get you an answer in less than 15 minutes, especially in the middle of the night for Canadian and US users - have some patience! ;)

hey man,

you have to have 98se, that is the first thing. I had this same problem. Search on the Microsoft site (sites!) for the FireWire driver update...i might have the file saved at home, if i do i will post it later tonight.

Anyway, once you find this driver update and install it you'll be all set. Then just grab a copy of EphPod (or your preference) and you're all set.

The patch you're looking for is here ( http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;242975).

But like the previous poster said...you need 98SE.

Oh, and I'm moving this to the Windows General thread.
