Lost songs
I'm still new to the iPod so excuse all of the recent posts:
I'm using Musicmatch on a 40GB iPod. That's my first mistake, I understand that now, but I'll ask the question anyway...
I loaded some songs onto the iPod (luckily just testing it) and I turned off Sync (since my computer only holds 30GB I was going to have extra songs on the iPod that I don't have on the computer. Anyway, The next time I hooked up the iPod - it didn't sync, but all of the songs can't be seen by the musicmatch even though there is disk space being used up so they are obviously there. Then I disconnect and there's nothing to be played on the ipod anymore. What's the deal? Where is the music?
Switching to ephpod now....

You're headed in the right direction. Switch to ephpod, MC9 or Xplay. Uninstall all the iPod software (MMJB iPod Plugin, iPod Manager, leave the iPod Updater installed).
Restore you iPod w/the iPod Updater program, then use one of the aforementioned programs.
I'm partial to MC9, but the others work fine.

Restoring the iPod seemed to work fine.
Question about MC9. If I install it, will it be able to handle all of the stuff I've already ripped? I assume so, but just checking.
Also, It it just as easy as uninstalling MMJB and installing MC9 or is there any other steps needed? I ask because I admit being scared a bit by all of the steps to get ephpod working...
