Firewire card for Dell 8100?
I'm very close to buying an iPod (once I get in my head I want something, I can't hold out too long), but I want to make sure I get the proper firewire card.
From searching the boards here, it looks like the unanimous best card is the Adaptec 4300 card. Is the PCI card the one I should get? Does anyone have any experience with the Dell Dimension 8100 models (or similar)?
I'm hoping to go out and look at CompUSA today to see if they have both the firewire card and the iPod 20GB model. I was just hoping someone could guide me on the firewire card since I think that is the only variable for me.
Thanks!

Pretty much any pci firewire card should do..
Laptops get a bit pickier..but even then not too bad.

Great - I just went ahead and ordered it! Now I'm practically forced to buy the iPod :D
Do you think an extended warranty like at CompUSA is a good idea? Or would I be safe enough just with the manufacturer's warranty buying it off the Internet somewhere?
