10 gb first gen

my ipod was first havingi a problem where if wouold freeze when i selected anything.. so i decieded to restore my ipod..

i did that normaly.. until the time where it said to disconnect then get the firewire cord on the screen to reconnect..

when i recconected it never reconized the ipod...

so i decieded to hold down menu and play to try to reset that way.. then hung on the apple logo...

so i forced into firewire mode.. then ran the update again.. same thing.. but after that i pluged into the AC adapter.. then the apple logo was on and the status bar up reflashing firmware was on too.. then it hung there till it turned off..

now it is completely dead.. it is pluged into the ac adapter and now i can't even get the apple logo.. and no responce when pluged into the my pc
