wma files?

is there any way to play wma files on your ipod?

No..

You have to convert them to mp3. But then you're going from one lossy format to another.

Better to re-rip them.

You can convert wma files to mp3 files with jetAudio. You can get the free program at:

Hard to tell the difference in quality after conversion.

Hmm...I would recommend to anyone converting formats to try it against a freshly ripped mp3 before doing a conversion, depends on the person, but I think there's a big difference--especially on a well encoded mp3. Personally I think it's worth the extra time to rerip, but opinions vary...
