I own a 5 GB Ipod that originally ran with Mac OS, I now run it with Windows 1.3 Software.
Now I have some severe problems:

EphPod crahed while I was transfering files to the Ipod. I had to reboot my machine.

Then, nothing worked anymore:
When I connect the ipod via firewire it crashes after approx. half a minute, meaning the "DO NOT DISCONNECT" stays on and the symbol stops flashing.
The REAL bad thing about this is that I can't even reformat the ipod anymore. The UPDATER freezes when the ipod is connected. I also tried to reformat the ipod through the dos prompt (format g: /FS:fat32 /Q), it didn't respond. "MY COMPUTER" also freezes when I try to open it with the ipod turned on.

Any takes? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
