I disconnected when it said not to!

I disconnect my new 30 iPod when it said "Do not disconnect". I did not know that I had to eject the iPod first.
Have I done some major damage to my iPod??
Help!!

no. not that i know of. did it myself once (brave aren?t i ;) ). no damage whatsoever, but don?t do it in future. think of it like shutting down windows before switching off the computer ;) :D. you should be able to answer your own question. does it still work, or has it gone kapooowy ;) ?

Well, besides all the things that others seem to be experiencing, like it freezing up at times, stopping in the middle of a song, multiple artist/song listings, etc. it seems to be fine.

Your IPOD will explode within 48 hours. Stand back.
