Update Issues!
in the end i closed the update window and disconnected the cable. it now brings up a picture of an unconnected cable on the screen of the ipod....should i restore???

Ive just been updating my windows ipod to 1.3 and it got 3/4 of the way complete and then stopped! and said "Cant unmount ipod", and trying to right click the ipod logo in the tray to unmount that way didnt come up with anything...

What you should do is plug the cable back in when this picture shows up. Then the updater will finish. Normally what happens is that when you get about 3/4 through the updater, it will say "ok to unmount" and then the reconnect symbol, the one you are getting, will show up. Then the updater will finish. I have heard problems like this before. Just go ahead and reconnect and it will finish, but make sure you reconnect while the updater is still running.Timmy Yak at 2007-11-15 17:05:44 >
