Much errorness :(

heya... i've had my ipod since..erm..may, and up til this week it has been working perfectly etc..

a few days ago i was trying to help my friend put his music on his ipod using my computer, and then problems started

his ipod made my 'pooter reboot a lot and it had some other problems and in the end we gave up..
now, however, i am suffering too ;-/

shortly after i started using mine again, my ipod started going into 'disk mode' with a flashing folder w/ exclamation mark icon.. eventually after restoring it a b'jillion times it worked again..

now however, i get loads of 'invalid directory' errors for my tracks when synching with ephpod, it reboots my computer a lot, and my ipod has apparently got like 8gb used up when there's only 6gb according to the ipod, is it possible that there are some half-done tracks hidden on the ipod that are using up space?

what should i do? restore ipod? reinstall ephpod and everything else?

thanks in advance... sorry if that's rather incoherant ;-/

Not sure what happened. I would search Add/Remove programs and make sure MacOpener isn't installed somehow.

I'd also uninstall your firewire card and the iPod in Device Manager. Then reboot to let windows reinstall everything.

my god it worked :D
saw no sign of macopener so i uninstalled ipod / firewire and rebooted, then i restored ipod for good measure, and in about a minute more ephpod will have finished putting my 6.2gb of music back onto my ipod - without error! :)

thank you very very much, hehe
