Multiple ipod compatibility: 3rd gen (30gb) with 2nd gen (20gb)
How can I use 2 ipods of different generations on the same pc (Windows XP)? My second generation ipod (20gb without docking port) works fine using Music Match Jukebox Plus (7.1 ?). I now wish to add and use another ipod...this one is third generation (30 gb with docking port).
Are these compatible? I am concerned that if I connect the new ipod to the computer, format it for Windows, and go through the wizard to install the ipod software and associated MMJB software that it will either make the old ipod not recognizable or will wipe out the current version of MMJB. What can I do to be able to download to either of the two ipods? Is it possible with MMJB? Do I need a different music manager?

I can't help you w/MMJB, but I can tell you I do this w/MC9 no problem at all. I've got both versions of the iPod Updater programs installed (1.3 & 2.0.1) those don't conflict at all.
MC9 allows me to create separate smartlist goups for syncing so I have one list of smartlists for my wife's iPod and on list for mine.
Works great...
