USB 2.0 Card Laptop

Greetings:
Just bought a card for my laptop, it's a Belkin. It doesn't appear to be working properly. XP is telling me that it's 'not a high speed transfer bus'. The card may be junk...or XP is simply not fond of the card.

Any thoughts on which card is best for PC's running XP? I've 'searched' this forum, but haven't found any 'best' or preferred card for my laptop.

Thanks

I wouldn't recommended a Belkin USB until i read this. Why don't you consider getting a firewire card? I purchased a Belkin firewire and it works great with my laptop. Furthermore if you have the right adapter you can plug it to the firewire, therefore, becoming a powered 6pin. :D
