I haven't installed mine yet, or bought it. But I know that in magazines they advertize ports and hubs for under 30-50$. Im gonna go to best buy and ask for help, I suggest you do the same

You can buy any firewire card, doesn't have to be "name brand".

Look for an Adaptec or Orange Micro brand, they tend to be some of the better ones that work w/the iPod.

You don't have to get a name brand, but the iPod is very picky about what cards it works with., so make sure you can return whatever you buy.

I'm currently using a Belkin card for my laptop and it's working great. You can purchase it from bestbuy.com for a fairly decent price. It also has an adapter option so you can actually power your card with it.
