Ipod wont stay connected to PC
Hey everybody, I got my ipod last week and it has worked like a dream..up until now. I am using ephpod and all i had to do is plug in my ipod and then open ephpod and it would load my database and worked like a charm. But now all of the sudden when i plug my ipod in it connects like normal, but then acts like i am disconnecting it within a few seconds and unmounts it. I am using WinXP Pro, and the newest version of ephpod, i'm not sure what is wrong but it's driving me nuts, because it doesn't stay mounted long enough to add any songs to it or anything. Please help, all suggestions are welcome.
Thanks for your time,

ok, after messing with it in control panel for a while, i realized that the pc was still seeing it even after the ipod went into normal mode (not the "Do not Disconnect" msg), so i started playing with it in Control Panel, as i already stated :) but anyways i saw an option to Scan for Hardware Changes, so i tried it and i noticed that the ipod went into sync mode again, and then *poof* it stayed connected, it didn't find any changes, but now my ipod stays connected, and works with ephpod :) w00t!! :)
Even though i'm the only person currently browsing this forum i'm sure many of you would have tried to help, so thanks for..being willing to help, :)

Interesting fix there. Yet another option to try. Thanks for posting it.
Something that also can help if you ever run into this again, is uninstalling the iPod Software. It's not needed for anything and can cause these connection problems.
Leave the Updater installed, but get rid of the iPod Software.
