Question about the USB2/FW cable...

Hi!

I would like to know if the USB2/FireWire cable is compatible with the Mac's USB1 port? I would like to know that because I will probable move files on both Mac and PC and probably on old Macs with only USB ports. Anyone ever tried it?

Please, I know USB1 is slower than FireWire. This is not the question.

Thank you!

Dude! Don't you know that USB is slower than firewire? Come on!!

;)

Seriously, I believe that, from what I've heard, the iPod's USB cable is compatible with both USB1 and USB2.

But isn't there a discussion on another thread that iPods are in fact not compatible with Mac usb 1 ports? See this thread http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4647&highlight=usb1 for a discussion on this subject.

Yep, I made that thread but I decided to give it a try in the PC forum.

PS: I just got my 15 gigs iPod! :D
