Is losing songs usual?

Yesterday I added a bunch of songs to my 20GB iPod and I looked at "About" and it showed I had 1875 songs. Today I looked again and it showed that I have 1675 songs.
Is this a usual occurance?

No, I would say that's very unusual. In fact I've never seen it happen.

What program are you using to upload? Is it possible that you did a sync and some of the songs were deleted off of the iPod?

did you sync between the times that you looked at the number of songs

I believe the way I did it was, I did the sync, then ejected it, then checked the About. I haven't done a sync after that but checked it today and there were a couple of hundred songs less. Unless I'm going crazy here

And don't chastise me, but......I use MMJB :p
I just find it simple to use, despite what most of you think of it :D

That's okay, I fully expected it :D

Actually I have Ephpod installed and will switch eventually but haven't figured out how to use LAME yet
