Trouble ripping CDs on Sony Vaio Picturebook
I have a Sony Vaio Picturebook PCG-C1VPK (Windows 2k), with an external CD-ROM. I have been trying to rip CDs from the CD-ROM using MusicMatch 7 - it will go through each song on the CD and supposedly copy it over to the Vaio, but when I look at the files and/or try to move them to the iPod, the files are empty.
I used MusicMatch on my desktop (Dell Precision 530 MT Workstation), and everything worked fine. Help?!

I'm not sure how well software would support an external CD drive, is it the standard Sony PCCard one?
I've never tried it but you may get better results or at least error messages with another package like EAC.

Yes, I'm using the standard PCCard, CD-ROM. I had problems originally when trying to rip CDs: the digital/analog settings on the drive vs. the MusicMatch settings. Everytime I tried to rip a song off a CD, MusicMatch would try, give me an error message about "retry analog...", try to rip, then crash the notebook...
Resolved this issue, but the 0% ripped is driving me nuts!
