Rainbow Screen

I have noticed that my screen has a large rainbow accross it. It was usually always there but only on certain angles, but now it is there no matter what angle and it makes it hard to read the writing on the screen. I have hardly used my ipod and have taken very good care of it. Is this something that i can use my warranty for? The ipod is in my car now but in a glove compartment that doesnt get to hot.

Do a search for "rainbow" (increace the number of days to search for to 100 or so) and you'll find a lot of posts on this topic.It's not a defect, they all seem to have it. Heat will make it appear worse. Check to see if it diminishes when the iPod is at room temperature.

I have noticed that many backlit objects do have this rainbow effect. My cell phone and Game Boy Advance SP have them in the sunlight.theguy1474 at 2007-11-15 17:07:14 >
