Mac to PC question

Background:

I have a 15GB iPod. I have been using a powerbook and iTunes, however, I will be moving over to a Windows XP machine. I copied all of my MP3's to an external Drive (as I need to re-format my Ipod for use with Windows).

Question:
I noticed that I have ripped some of my alnums with the Powerbook and iTunes set for AAC format (MA4 I believe). How can I get these tunes to my newly re-formated Windows Ipod? Or must I re-rip those albums as MP3?

Thanks in advance for the help

the new version of ephpod is able to transfer m4a files to the ipod so no worries :)

You can transfer them over, but you will have to update the database manually for each song, since ephPOD can't do it.

Bill,

what database would I have to update?

When you transfer songs with ephPod, and they have no tags, ephPod will ask you for the Artist, Track Name, Track Number, Album Title and Genre. You can manually enter this info and ephPod will use it to update the iPod's DB. Otherwise you will have to locate the tunes by using the songs menu.
