musicmatch vs cdex for ripping

when i rip a cd do both programs condense the audio files to the same size, or is one smaller and more efficient?

Not likely to be the same. Musicmatch uses the Fraunhofer encoder, and CDex uses the Lame encoder. I believe that size can even be different if you use two different versions of the Lame encoder.
