Do Not Disconnect

Well, just got my 3G ipod and am well pleased with it. Love its shiny newness (which will probably last about a week).
After reading every post saying 'use ephpod not musicmatch' i am happy to say that i have it up and running. I do however have a few issues with ipod, not sure if it is ephpod particulary or windows issues.

1. When i plug the ipod into the battery charger, the screen says 'Charging', but when it is connected to the firewire port it says 'Do not disconnect' is this right?

2. How do i get Ephpod to launch automatically when i connect the ipod? in the ipod manager it just says 'Registered Home Application - Musicmatch' where is ephpod?

3. What is disk mode?

4. I also i cant seem to load ipod manager when it is connected, although it recognises it in 'My Computer'.

Cheers for any help,

Chris

1. Yes. This is good. It means your computer and ipod recognize each other, and are on cordial terms with one another. Make sure to disconnect using either the hot icon on the system tray or the ipod manager before you unplug your ipod from the firewire.

2. There is an option to choose which application that will automatically launch with the manager. To tell you the truth though, the manager was such a pain for me I finally just got rid of it.

3. Not sure what you're asking, but Adam will.

4. Again, for me, the ipod manager was more trouble than it's worth, and I deleted it (and I was initially pretty excited about it). This is just my opinion, there are other folks here that like it, but I use MC9, and the ipod manager and MC9 don't like each other very much...
