Transfer MP3s from IPOD to PC?

My external hard drive crashed and I lost all my music (whatever you do DO NOT buy a Buslink drive!!!! It is a crime that Best Buy pushes this garbage on its customers)

Anyway, I'm hoping to save the music I have loaded on my IPOD. Is there a way to transfer my files from the IPOD to my PC?

Also, can anyone can recomend a reliable external drive?

your mp3s may still be on your drive try a recovery software package and see if they are

i'm pretty sure you can use XPlay and also Ephpod to transfer your music back to your PC. As far as external harddrives. I have a Western Digital that I use to back up my entire system. You might try one of those!
