Help with playlists

I just got my ipod 30 gb and have a question...

When I first synced I added all my songs to the ipod (using a pc)

Now, I made a playlist and wanted to add that to the ipod (these are songs already on the ipod just on a list like "exercise")

anyhow, synced caused duplicates of the files...

is this normal? If not, how do I avoid it? I am using Media center and/or ephpod ((not musicmatch, no, never)

Woah...wait. Your're using Media Center? No way it put dupes on.

The best way to do it is to sync (don't use File>Send To or Upload).

If you haven't check out the help guide in the MC9 board. What I recommend is to make a smartlist in MC9 with all the tunes you want on your iPod. Then, make your other playlists as smartlists (using the wizard). Always start off the other smartlists with "Playlist=iPod Tunes" (or whatever you name the first smartlist you made).

Then just sync all your smartlists. It will not create dupes.

ephpod is a different story, again, it shouldn't create duplicates as long as you aren't changing the file names of the files that are on the playlists.
