Battery drain when iPod is off

Seems like a lot of people are experiencing this problem. Have a 15gb, firmware 2.0.1, & use the USB/firewire cable, but the ipod has no juice if I leave it on the counter for a day or two. Is their a fix. Even though I press the play/pause button to shut off the ipod, I feel that it is still on, like the HD is still spinning.

My 15Gig and my mom's 10Gig are having the same problem. I think it has something to do with the "sleep mode". I don't know if you noticed that when you stop playing your iPod and put it to sleep when you wake it up it will resume at the same place that you shut it off at. I think it is draining the battery. I would think that Apple could fix this with an update.

Even though the iPod consumes a small amount of power while in sleep mode, it is not normal that the battery drains after only a day or two.

1) Look at the Alarm and make sure it is set to "off".
2) After putting your iPod to sleep, engage the "hold" button.

If this does not work, you might want to send in your iPod for servicing.
