artists name appears more than once..why

HI, IM new to IPOD and before I explain my problem(I think its a problem) Im going to give my spec..I have a ipod 10GB pc, using music match 7.5 on windows xp. Now, every time I download a album(not all albums) to my IPOD the artists name appears more than once. Im I doing something wrong, or this is suppost to happen..Can someone tell me what to do

Its to do with the tagging - i get it sometimes after i rip.I use MC9 select all the songs from the problem artist - change to a random name, go back in and put in the correct name - and you should have the issue sorted!
The best one so far was with the Foo Fighters - no less than showing 5 times on the iPod!

Monkey's got it right. It's often due to trailing spaces after the tags.Adam

Yea i had the same problem, I had to fix the tags of all my files. The wired thing is I never had this problem with my gen 2 Ipod.rkabir at 2007-11-15 17:08:37 >
