Ipod seems ####ed

I put my ipod next to a magnet (i know that's not really clever) and now i can't connect it to my pc to format hard disk and re-install it... Is there anyaway to open it and format hard disk ? Please help

How big of a magnet. Unless you stuck the thing very close and it was a BIG magnet, I doubt you did damage to it.

Does it play fine? That would indicate that you didn't damage it.

If it doesn't work...well, you might have ruined that puppy.
