will ashampoo work for this?

My Ipod displays some songs to be much longer than they really are, like "Gotta Get Thru This" is displayed as being 16 min and 59 secs, when it's MUCH shorter. When I try to fastforwad through the song the pointer goes forward, but it stays in the same part of the song. can ashampoo fix this? Should i ReRip these songs, or what? PLease help.

I reripped those song but this time instead of using VBR i used CBR and that seemed to work.airman at 2007-11-15 17:06:40 >

the program you use to transfer your tunes on your iPod can't read the vbr times properly, and thus puts wrong song length in the itunesDB.This has happened to me with Ephpod and vbr files encoded with Musicmatch.
To fix it use another program, or use CBR like you said.
