Error with the 2.01 update

Whenever I run the setup.exe for the 2.01 update,
an error msg pops up.
It reads,

"1628 Script-based installation couldnt be completed."

Does any1 know how to get rid of this error?

Thanks.

yo have downloaded it, right? Not "running" from the location?
Try downloading it again - it might have gone wrong somehow the first time.

I downloaded the exe file.
I will download it again and see what's what.
Also, I will try to reinstall the ipod software from the CD and
run the update.

Thanks.

You can find details of a fix for this here ( http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61927). :)

I found a tutorial for fixing the error i described above on the
install shield website.
But, it still doesnt work for me.
I feel like giving up now.

Hmmm...I don't know how else to fix it. I didn't install the full lot, I just installed it on a different machine, copied the updater (about 4Mb) and then just ran that on my machine...but then I don't use MMJB. Sorry... :(

I ran the installer on my laptop and worked fine.
Then, I tried to install a program that utilizes installshield, but I get the "1628 Script-based installation couldnt be completed."

At least I got my ipod updated, the problem is not yet fully resolved.

Any ideas?
